North 2, Group 3

2-Warren Hills at 1-Roxbury

Roxbury has had a remarkable season, losing only to No. 8 Hanover Park, No. 6 Delbarton and Ocean Township without a full lineup. Warren Hills has been a strange team to read. Matches you think they should dominate, they lose but matches you think they have no chance in they keep close. I look for this match to be close but Roxbury pulls it out. Roxbury 34-30.

 

North 2, Group 2

2-South Plainfield (No. 17 in the NJWWA Top 20) at 1-Hanover Park (No. 8 in the NJWWA Top 20).

This is a meeting most fans have been looking forward to since Hanover Park moved into this section earlier this year. Both teams have had a great run of success the last two seasons as Hanover Park captured the Section 2 Group 1 title, advancing to the Group 1 finals while South Plainfield had the vaunted "Murders Row" helping it win the Group 3 title. In a matchup of teams with two passionate fan bases, this one should be very close. I look for Hanover Park to take its third straight sectional title in a nail biter. 29-27.

 

North 2, Group 1

2-Whippany Park at 1-Roselle Park

Both teams have met once this season at the Paul Finn duals with Roselle Park winning 40-15. Whippany Park is a different team but I am not sure it is enough. I see Roselle Park winning 38-24.
