About the Event:
On May 2nd at North Hunterdon High School, the yearly tradition returns as we present the 13th Annual GardenStateHSWrestling.com All-Star Charity Classic. This unique event brings together the top boys and girls wrestlers in Essex, Hunterdon, Morris, Passaic, Sussex and Warren counties to compete with the proceeds going to charity.
This year’s event will be follow the same format as last year, where four of the top reporters/ commentators for Garden State HS Wrestling (Donald Brower, James Clarke, John Kovach, and Kierra Hubmaster) will draft teams similar to fantasy baseball. Once the draft is complete, the wrestlers will be seeded and compete until a winner is crowned at each weight. The team that accumulates the most points gets to donate to the charity of their choice.

Tickets:
Ticket Sales will open on Wednesday, April 8th. Tickets can be purchased online through our Yapsody Box Office for $22 ($20 + $2 service fee) using PayPal or Credit/ Debit Card (we accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, Diners Club, and EnRoute). Online sales will remain open until the conclusion of the event
Tickets will also be available at the door for $20 if paying by Cash or Check, or for $22 if paying by Credit/ Debit Card, Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle.
Concessions:
A Concession Stand featuring Subs from Just Subs and Pizza from GMAC Pizza, Wings, and More will be open throughout the event.
Event Times:
Wrestlers will report at 12 PM for check in and singlet hand out (Parents/ Guardians will also be permitted in at this time).
The doors will open to the General Public at 12:30 PM.
Wrestling is expected to begin at 1 PM. We will wrestle the following schedule:
- Girls Round Robin 1
- Boys Round Robin 1
- Girls Semifinals
- Girls Round Robin 2
- Boys Semifinals
- Boys Round Robin 2
- Brief Intermission for Team Photos (approx. 15 minutes)
- Girls Finals/ Third Place
- Girls Round Robin 3
- Boys Finals/ Third Place
- Boys Round Robin 3
Event Format:
All NFHS Wrestling Rules apply. Bouts will be wrestled in a 2-1-1 format.
Spectator Code of Conduct:
Spectators are expected to act in an appropriate manor while at the event. Any spectators who are aggressive or disruptive towards others, or engage in any verbal, written, or physical conduct related to race, gender, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, or religion will be asked to leave the facility and may face additional discipline.
North Hunterdon High School also prohibits smoking (including e-cigarettes/ vaporizers) and possession/ consumption of controlled substances, including alcohol. Anyone found to be in possession of any controlled substances or appear to be under the influence of a controlled substance will be asked to leave the facility and may face additional discipline.
A Parent/ Guardian must accompany all spectators under the age of 14 during the event.
