CONTENDERS: This is by far the toughest NWJAC division, having a total of six individual state medalist. Delbarton had the most with Ty Agaisse (7th at 106), Christian Innarella (3rd at 120) and Josef Johnson (7th at 160). They return nearly its entire team except for Nick Anderson but his loss allows Coach Bryan Stoll to insert Valentine Miele, who finished 5th in kid states two years ago, into the lineup. Randolph also had a state place winner in A.J. Vindici who placed third at 113. The junior also placed 7th at 106. Roxbury is the only one with a state champion as Dillion Artigliere won the title at 160 after going undefeated. West Morris is also a team to watch for. The team loses three veteran wrestlers with 100 win each but a good crop of underclassmen should help ease the sting of graduation.
DARK HORSE: Parsippany Hills is a team to keep an eye one. With a senior laden team, they have incredible depth throughout their lineup. The team looks solid from top to bottom with the ability to mix and match wrestlers at key weights. The Vikings are the team that scares most squads in Morris County with its overall talent level.
OTHERS: Chatham, Mendham, Morristown
OUR PICK: Delbarton. The team is essentially a carbon copy of last year's squad and the result should be the same. They have ton of depth and while the loss of Anderson might hurt some teams, being able to slot Miele into the lineup now is a huge plus. This looks to be another championship year for the Morristown school.
