Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation
Team Charity: Brower’s Brawlers
Forty-two years ago, a sisterly promise ignited a spark that would fuel a global crusade against breast cancer. Today that promise continues to prevail as the driving force behind Susan G. Komen’s unwavering quest for a future free from the grip of this deadly disease.
In the pursuit of our goals, we’ve helped fuel research, unlocking the biology of breast cancer and discovering insights that propel us toward more effective risk reduction strategies, earlier detection methods and innovative treatments. This helped reduce breast cancer mortality by more than 42%.
To date, we’ve invested nearly $3.6 billion in groundbreaking research, community health outreach, advocacy and programs in more than 60 countries. Due to investments in research, 19 new drugs for breast cancer were approved in the past decade, and Komen is proud to have been a catalyst for these discoveries.
We stand firm in our promise to never give up on our vision of creating a world without breast cancer.

Tunnel to Towers Foundation
Team Charity: Nick’s Knights
Since 9/11, we have been helping America’s heroes by providing mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families with young children and by building specially-adapted smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders. We are also committed to eradicating veteran homelessness and helping America to Never Forget September 11, 2001.
Habitat for Humanity of Northwest New Jersey
Team Charity: Wilson’s Wildcats
Habitat for Humanity Northwest New Jersey is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization operated on Christian principles that seeks to put God’s love into action by building homes, communities and hope. HFHNWNJ is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions. Habitat for Humanity was founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a simple, durable place to live in dignity and safety, and that decent shelter in decent communities should be a matter of conscience and action for all.
The work of Habitat is accomplished by the Affiliates (independent non-profit corporations) that operate within a specific service area and within a framework of the Habitat Affiliate Covenant. Through volunteer labor and tax-deductible donations of money and materials, the local affiliate builds or rehabilitates decent and affordable housing with the help of prospective homeowner families. Habitat houses are sold to partner families at cost and are financed with affordable, no-interest loans. The homeowners’ monthly mortgage payments are recycled into a revolving fund that is used to continue Habitat’s work. Homeowners invest hundreds of hours of “sweat equity” into building their house and the houses of others. This labor by potential owners reduces the monetary cost of the house, increases the personal stake of the family members in their home, and fosters the development of the true community.
